I've given up hope... Jun 10 2010 05:36:45
That anyone besides me is going to work on this project. Which is fine I suppose, it just means that it will continue to be a work in progress for years to come.

Anyone home? Apr 07 2010 10:48:44
Just wondering if anyone is actually still visiting the site... if you are, leave a comment :)

Slow progress Nov 30 2009 23:22:10
First off, I moved all of the futureProof mixes to the concept folder cause they're rather difficult to step and really not that interesting musically. I have replaced them with the best music I could pull out of the concept folder including Last Day which I amped up with iTunes and hereby nominate as the boss song.

Anyway, as happens with all of us, my time is being consumed by other things. School has me pushed to the limit trying to fulfill my writing credits, a person I had previously made an agreement with to work on a indie game project finally contacted me about it, and snowboarding season has gotten under way so I'm gone a couple days a week. In short, I don't have a lot of free time at the moment so things have been progressing at a slower rate.

On a different note has anyone played DDR X2? I just got my copy today and it seems a little better than X or SN2. Any thoughts?

new button things... Oct 09 2009 01:14:18
under the Quick Links tab you now will find a download all button... click it and scoll to the bottom (it'll take a min to make the file) and when the download zip appears thats all u gotta do. it automatically takes out the date codes so the files all work

(at least most of them unless the sm file has the date code in it to a linking file...)

anyways, should make life easier for testing the whole pack. Enjoy.

A New Proposition Aug 22 2009 13:00:56
I have been in conversation with DR1010 and it has been our decision that, while there are a lot obstacles for this project to overcome before it may be released, there is a plethora of good content here as well that would be a terrible shame to waste. I am personally committed to bringing this project to fruition in one form or another. That being said DR and I would like to propose a new song list, as follows:

Complete and Nearly Complete Songs:
- Canonized (H-Corps)
- 2 Rock
- A Paz Nao Esta Perdida
- Desperation
- Interlude
- Mur-Q
- Kaleidoscope
- One More
- Royal Flush

Songs in Progress:
- Black
- Bottlan Dhoom Diyan
- Centre de Gravite
- C:LO:CK:ED
- Contraption
- Dr0p
- Frozen Solid
- Fugue
- Futureproof
- Futureproof (Boolean Logic Mix)
- InfiltROCKtion
- Jewel Shower
- Metallic Heart
- Tailgunner
- The Jazz You Want
- Violin Attack
- Waves
- White
- You Killed The Funk

Revived Songs:
- Krystallized
- Jupiter
- Futureproof FAITH
- The Rush of Orders

Songs under Further Consideration:
- Bamboo Breakdown
- Spacey Chill
- SYNiC (new)
- 6 (new)
- Hoshi Hoshi (new)
- Sample Funk Fest (new)
- Senses Wide Open
- Safety Net
- I've Been Running
- Feelin' This
- Dive*
- Coactive
- Chaotic Century (or derivative)
- Blue Day
- Lick
- Groove of Love (blame DR)
- some version of August

*as a Long Version in conjunction with having Rewind cut down to a similar length

This is what I'm more or less committing myself to getting done. If you care: discuss but keep in mind that if you don't like my decision on whether or not to work on a particular song you may be on your own. (on the other hand I am likely to work on things outside the project anyway if you ask XD)

PS: If no one says anything I'ma start rearranging the contents of the folders on here as I see fit. >:)

Seems to be the end. Jun 18 2009 23:48:48
Seems that SMMIX has come to a hault (actually it did about 6 months ago) but not much activity has been on the site and nothing has been completed on the project we have had for the last few YEARS. This site will no longer be maintained and only kept online for archive purposes. You may use this site to still work on the projects, download and do what you like with the files.

If this project does take off again and thing get completed i will start to work on a new system. but for now i have other projects that i must pursue.

it was a good run and was fun when it was bigger. but lets face it... it's dead guys.

Lets talk style. Apr 19 2009 16:22:18
In the many years since this project started I could have easily missed a discussion of this topic, so fill me in if I did.

What are the style standards for this project? In the description it's described as a pad pack which means that all of the charts should be more or less playable on a real dance pad. Should we expect people to have to use a support bar? Should we focus more on making charts easy to freestyle? Should we focus on exploring the greater potential of using hands and mines? Should there be a focus on trying to incorporate real forms of dance into the charts? What background do all of you have in terms of dancing games and step writing?

Now that we're back... Jan 28 2009 20:08:20
Let's get some of those review songs reviewed and into the completed folder hmm? You don't even need to change them just play it and post a comment with some feedback.

Absent Jan 21 2009 18:31:57
To C4U and stuff, just fyi, my main computer got a virus which corrupted it and everything plugged into it (such as flash drives, which went on to corrupt more computers that it was plugged into), so I don't exactly have a real computer right now... I'll try to check stuff out when I can but I'll be kinda not here for a good week or two more until I straighten this thing out.

Screenname change Dec 16 2008 18:57:11
For those using AIM, I have switched over to a slightly nicer screenname, "envalin". Just to avoid confusion since I will not be adding any away messages "oh add me!"

Using Songs for ITG Rebirth 2 Aug 22 2008 09:06:59
Basically I hate to see all the work done for this project go to waste. If no one responds to this post in the next month (that means by September 22) I plan on taking a number of these songs over to the ITGR project. I will NOT use any stepcharts or graphics without permission. If you would like to give permission to the ITGR team to use your work than please contact me or respond to this post. If you would like to work with the ITGR team on this project please contact me or another member of the team. If you would like to protest the ITGR team using any songs from this project please contact me or respond here.

You have one month to get all your opinions in. Go.

Fruity Loops 8 Feb 14 2008 14:10:16
It's out! It's pretty amazing too. But you can only get it if you bought it right now, because it's in beta form and no demos are currently out for it. The final release is soon (not sure when), but if you're interested in buying FL, get it now while it's still just $149 and not $199!

An update from the admin Nov 27 2007 10:50:47
Just wanted to stop in and let everyone know i am indeed still alive.

i have been working full force on finishing school and i will be out of a job at the end of this week.

I graduate Dec 13th, and after this week i will have all the time in the world to start back on the revamp site and do some more web and smmix stuff.

It seems SMMIX is still moving, may not be at a fast pace, but it's still alive. if someone can send me an e-mail or comment here on what i have missed in the last month or 2 and give me a status update that would be awesome :) Jwatt@phantomsera.com

Thanks

Movies! Sep 01 2007 20:07:10
I've negotiated with a movie creator at www.gmanvideo.com. We are able to use his movies in our project and distribute them with the pack for 10 times the individual license sale. My goal is to get $500 for one pack, and if it goes really well, $1000 for a second. We'll see what happens, but we really need to get some money together for this.

A New Start! May 28 2007 21:39:50
This project has been going on for Two and a Half years-- and we are finally going to finish it. The delaying, the uncertainty, and the procrastination is finally coming to an end. Over the next few weeks most of us will have a free summer and plenty of time to make graphics, charts, and work on a theme. Our goal? To finish this thing--to release SMMIX--by the end of Summer 2007!

But to look ahead to the future and fulfill the vision that was set over two years ago, we must get rid of the past tendencies which have dragged this project on. Though we've had many great, funny, and memorable discussions, its time to move on from all of the conversations we've had. We're getting a New Start, and as part of this new plan we are going to lock the forum as we know it. Instead of deleting threads, we will move them to a locked forum for reference. When necessary this forum can be accessed for information and what not, but for organization's sake, and for the sake of getting this thing done, we are starting new with a cleansed forum.

So lets get working and get this thing done. By September I want this whole thing zipped and uploaded, ready to be downloaded to countless computers, uploaded to countless ITG2 machines, and played by countless people. 3 final words:

Lets freaking go!
